Healthcare

Local hospitals, including the #2 ranked Children’s Hospital in the nation, make up a significant contribution to the workforce. Children’s is committed to their residency program as shomer shabbas-friendly. In addition to hospitals, Omnicare and Ethicon, a division of Johnson & Johnson, are also located here.

Law

Cincinnati’s largest law firms boast 350 to 650 attorneys, including Dinsmore & Shohl; Frost, Brown & Todd; Keating, Muething & Klekamp; Taft, Stettinius & Hollister; and Vorys, Sater, Seymour & Pease. They are joined by hundreds of smaller firms and Cincinnati offices of large national firms.

Higher Education

A variety of educational institutions, including the University of Cincinnati with renowned College-Conservatory of Music and Design, Architecture, Art and Planning programs, Xavier University, Miami University, Hebrew Union College, Northern Kentucky University and many others are located within a short commute.

Banking & Financial Services

Fifth Third Bank is headquartered here, along with Cincinnati Financial, Western & Southern Financial Group and American Financial Group. Public accounting firms also have a presence including Ernst & Young; PricewaterhouseCooper; Clark, Schaefer, Hackett & Co.; Grant Thornton; and KPMG.

Consumer Products

Cincinnati is home to the headquarters of Kroger, Procter & Gamble and Federated Department Stores (Macy’s). For careers in finance, project management, IT, marketing, branding, consumer products and retail, there are few cities better positioned for senior managers and executives.

Manufacturing

General Electric (GE) has a large presence, downtown headquarters and aerospace engine plant. Automotive giants Toyota and Ford, as well as their extensive supplier base, also have a presence in Cincinnati. AK steel, Ashland, Inc. and Cinergy are also located here.
